The treatment plan goes through several stages
 1- Evaluation stage 
2- Information stage about the patient (identifying intrusive or intrusive thoughts and focusing on how to interpret them and the neutralization strategies that result from them, which is a phenomenon that depends on controlling the will - modifying the interpretation and is used for cognitive reconstruction and is used in exposure to imagination)
 3- Setting goals with the patient and expressing them in the form of emotions, behaviors, attitudes, or trends that should be modified.
4- The stage of cognitive reconstruction passes through three levels

1- The first level: The level of conscious thoughts aims to make the patient aware of cognitive biases, including amplification. 
2- The second level: The level of dysfunctional tendencies aims to identify and reduce the patient’s dysfunctional tendencies 
3- The third level: The level of implicit beliefs aims to identify the mechanisms of connection between thought and action in addition to the exaggerated sense of responsibility and modify dysfunctional beliefs.
5- The stage of exposure by imagination: This strategy aims to reduce the patient’s obsession with obsessions. In obsessive-compulsive disorder, exposure by imagination is used as a preliminary step to exposure in reality to remove sensitivity in the face of attachments that cannot be experienced in reality. 
6- Gradual exposure in reality while preventing response: - If he begins to recognize and modify cognitive distortions and if he is able to deal with the obsessions mentally, he will be prepared to gradually confront in reality the situations that provoke them.
7- Complementary aspects: secondary benefits, self-affirmation, self-esteem, and pathological personality traits 
8- Termination: Conduct an assessment at the end of treatment and plan to conduct support interviews (enhancement sessions) and take measures to prevent relapse
