About

I am a Psychiatrist and Mental Health Advocate with a specialised focus on the assessment and treatment of Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related conditions. I am committed to providing judgement-free, confidential, and structured mental healthcare, with an emphasis on active listening, collaboration, and client satisfaction. I strive to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where individuals can openly discuss distressing thoughts and behaviours without fear of shame or misunderstanding. With over six years of experience in psychiatry, psychotherapy, and psychopharmacology, I work extensively with individuals experiencing OCD, including contamination fears, checking behaviours, intrusive thoughts, symmetry concerns, and mental compulsions. My clinical approach integrates evidence-based pharmacological management with specialised psychotherapeutic interventions, particularly Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), tailored to each individual’s symptom profile, severity, and personal goals. I place strong emphasis on psychoeducation, helping clients and their families understand the neurobiological basis of OCD and differentiating intrusive thoughts from personal values or intent. Treatment planning is collaborative and paced, focusing on functional recovery, relapse prevention, and long-term symptom management rather than short-term relief alone. In addition to clinical practice, I am actively involved as a teaching professional for medical undergraduate and postgraduate students. I emphasise evidence-based OCD treatment, accurate diagnosis, and early intervention to reduce chronicity and disability. My work is guided by a commitment to reducing stigma, correcting misconceptions about OCD, and empowering individuals to regain control over their lives through ethical, compassionate, and outcome-oriented care.
